72nd National Independence Day events were held under the patronage of Mr.V.Vasudevan, Divisional Secretary at Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat, Batticaloa.

The National Tree of Sri Lanka 'Naga Tree' was planted by the Divisional Secretariat and Shramadana event also organized by the Divisional Secretariat Staffs.

Duty Assuming Ceremony for the New Year 2020 held at Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat headed by Divisional Secretary Mr.V.Vasuthevan.

The National Flag, the National Anthem and the Official Public Service of the Officers were taken to the event. All officers serving in the Divisional Secretariat were present at this occasion.

Annual Thai Pongal Vizha was held at Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat on 27th January 2020 headed by Divisional Secretary Mr.V.Vasuthevan. 

 Divisional Secretarist Staffs Celebrate this function in a traditional manner.

On the Same Day Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat Cultural Cubical was opened by the Batticaloa District Government Agent Mrs.Kalamathi Pathmarajah. Additional Goverment Agent , Other Divisional Secretries and Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat Staffs also participated in this event.

This Cubical have oldest collections of antiquties used in the Batticaloa District.

The National Safety Day was held at Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat on 26th December 2019. This day marks the 15th anniversary of the Tsunami.

National Security Day was observed under the leadership of Manmunai North Divisional Secretary Mr.V.Vasuthevan.

Following the hoisting of the National Flag and the playing of the National Anthem, the souls of the survivors paid their respects.
